Keeping your furry friend, furry

Frankston Heights Vet - Dermatology
Healthy skin and a shiny coat are signs of a happy, comfortable pet. At Frankston Heights Veterinary Centre, we have always had a particular interest in dermatology; helping dogs and cats with itchy skin, allergies, hair loss and other frustrating conditions that can make life challenging for pets and owners alike.

Understanding skin problems in pets

The skin is the body’s largest organ and the one most exposed to the environment. When it’s irritated or inflamed, pets can end up red, flaky, itchy, and sore. Common pet dermatology issues we treat include:

  • Allergies to food, fleas, or the environment
  • Hot spots, rashes and skin infections
  • Hair loss or constant scratching
  • Ear and paw irritation
  • Chronic itching that won’t resolve

If your furry friend isn’t furry, keeps shaking their head, or can’t stop scratching, we can help identify the cause and create a treatment plan that brings relief.

Compassionate, thorough care

Our clinic’s founder, Dr Lucy White, had a deep passion for skin health, inspiring our team to care for every case with curiosity and dedication. While we’re not specialist dermatologists, we take pet dermatology seriously, offering diagnostics, treatments and long-term management strategies to keep your pet comfortable and their coat looking its best.
