The key to keeping your pet in top shape
Human patients can talk about how they feel, grumble about that little “niggle”, and ask for help if they’re worried. A doctor joins those dots in what someone says, to recognise a problem even though the symptoms are very subtle. Pet patients cannot talk, but through listening carefully to their families and examining them thoroughly, vets might make out the dots that need joining.
At Frankston Heights, our vets have a wide range of particular interests and skills, meaning that we can recognise and react to the most subtle of changes.
A full examination will always form part of your pet’s visit; because if you don’t look, you can’t know. We’re also likely to ask lots of questions. Lots and lots of questions. The answers allow us to paint a picture of what might be going on; it’s a way of finding out some of what a human patient might say.
Routine blood testing can alert us to impending problems, leading to early treatment and a better outcome.
We offer appointments throughout the day, allowing 30 minutes for all new patients to give us time to get to to know them (and you) better.
Happier, healthier pets for longer!
